Once upon a time, if you wanted to go from Milwaukee to Watertown, Sheboygan, Racine,
Kenosha, East Troy, or Burlington, you took the Interurban.
The Milwukee Electric Railway And Light Company also known as the TMER&L or the TM, provided excellent transportation to Southeastern Wisconsinites for almost 50 years.
While the "real" TM no longer exists, there are many models and layouts representing the finest the Milwaukee Electric had to offer.
Here in the Milwaukee area, the love affair many people have had with the TM over the last 50+ years has fostered a modelling group known as the Milwaukee Electric Traction Club.
The Milwaukee Electric Traction Club was started by Harry Bondurant, Jack Galloway, and Milt Schrot in the late 1940's, and continues today as an informal group dedicated to modeling the traction scene in Milwaukee.
So go down to the Public Service Building, buy a ticket, and take a ride on the TM.
